Author Guidelines

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts according to the following guidelines before submission to Midwifery Science and Practice Journal (MSPJ):

Manuscript Language
Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English, and must be consistent in one language throughout the article.

Manuscript Length
3,000–6,000 words, excluding references and abstract.

Abstract
Structured abstract, 200–300 words, provided in both Indonesian and English.

Keywords
3–6 keywords, preferably using MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) terms.

File Format
Microsoft Word (.docx), 1.5 line spacing, Times New Roman 12pt. Please use the [Journal Template] provided.

Manuscript Structure (Research Article)
Title – Abstract – Introduction – Methods – Results – Discussion – Conclusion – References.

Reference Style
Vancouver style (in-text numbering, references listed in order of citation).

Number of References
Minimum 20 references, with at least 80% published within the last 10 years.

Tables and Figures
High resolution (minimum 300 DPI), clearly numbered with descriptive captions.

Article Types Accepted
Research Article, Systematic Review/Meta-Analysis, Case Report, Literature Review, Short Communication, Letter to Editor.

Manuscripts that do not conform to these guidelines will be returned to the author before entering the review process.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
