Focus and Scope

Midwifery Science and Practice Journal (MSPJ) accepts original scientific articles that have not been previously published in any other journal or proceedings, covering the following themes within the field of midwifery science:

  1. Community Midwifery and Maternal Health — midwifery care for normal and high-risk pregnancies, labor and postpartum management, family planning (FP) and reproductive health, midwifery services in community and remote areas.
  2. Clinical and Emergency Midwifery — management of obstetric complications (preeclampsia, hemorrhage, infection), neonatal and perinatal care, evidence-based midwifery (EBM), the use of medical technology in midwifery services.
  3. Midwifery Education — innovations in midwifery education curricula, competency-based learning methods, competency testing and midwife certification, professional development of midwives.
  4. Research and Methodology — quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research in midwifery, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, development of research instruments in midwifery.
  5. Digital Health and Midwifery Technology — telemidwifery and remote midwifery services, mobile applications for maternal and infant health monitoring, electronic medical records in midwifery services.

Article types accepted: Research Article, Systematic Review/Meta-Analysis, Case Report, Literature Review, Short Communication, and Letter to Editor.
